MONSTER KICKABOUT
IS BACK!
We’re joining schools once again to bring a summer of football fun to students across the UK with Nike and Sports Direct, just in time for the Women’s Euro 2025 championships.
By registering, you and your school can join in with our free football teaching resources. We’ll provide lesson plans, game ideas, warm up activities and fun classroom activities.
Each activity will come with instructions and a video guide on how to setup, run and differentiate to suit the needs of your students.
You’ll also get videos to show in assembly to introduce the students to Monster Kickabout, with a message from this years ambassadors, and at the end of the program to say thank you and well done to the students for taking part.
Finally, we will be giving away free football packs containing Nike footballs, Monster Kickabout bibs and printed resources to 2000 (UK) and 200 (ROI) randomly selected schools who register before 29th May 2025.
Our activities will take place between 9th- 13th June for schools in Scotland and Ireland and 31st June – 11th July for schools in England and Wales.

What is Monster Kickabout?
Monster Kickabout is a nationwide school football initiative from Sports Direct and Nike, created to encourage more kids to take up football, with free resources and football equipment provided football fun.
When does the Monster Kickabout event start?
Monster Kickabout 2025 takes place between 9th – 13th June for schools in Scotland and Northern Ireland, and 30th June – 11th July for schools in England and Wales. This is to accommodate school term dates, however the activities can be extended across the rest of the school term.
How do I Register
What if I haven’t received a confirmation email?
Please check your junk folders and to avoid this for future communications please add our email address info@monsterkickabout.com to your safe sender list. We would also recommend signing up for SMS notifications here to avoid missing important information.
Can multiple teachers sign up from one school?
Yes, however a school can only ever be eligible for one set of any free equipment packs. As many teachers as you like can create an account and register for the event, getting access to all the free downloads and digital resources.
What will you get if you sign up?
2000 schools (UK) and 200 schools (ROI) (picked at random) that sign up will receive a Monster Kickabout kit pack containing free football equipment (6 Balls, 12 Bibs, Printed Resources). Every school will also receive a full set of digital lesson plans to help your school host an epic couple of weeks of football fun! There will also be opportunities to win school visits and other prizes through spot competitions.
Can I share our Monster Kickabout efforts on Social Media?
Of course, we’d love to see all your monster efforts. Simply tag your posts with #MonsterKickabout or mention us on Instagram, X (Twitter) or Facebook.
How do you know if you’re one of the 2200 schools to receive a pack?
We will email all schools that were selected on 30th May 2025. If you were successful, this email will also contain information on when you will receive your kit packs.
What if you’re not one of the 2200 schools?
If you’re not part of the 2200 schools to get a free equipment pack then do not fear, you’ll still receive all the resources and lesson plans you need to host a Monster Kickabout week to remember! We will also try to make sure that your school goes to the top of the list next time equipment is allocated.
Am I eligible for a free equipment pack?
Any school in the UK and Republic of Ireland is eligible for a free equipment pack. If you are not a UK or Republic of Ireland school, you can still sign up to the event and receive the free resources to take part in Monster Kickabout, but you will not be eligible for a free equipment pack.
If multiple entries for a single school are received, the first entry date will be used. A school will only be eligible to receive one pack. All packs are allocated to the school and not the individual, and will always be sent to the school address.
